Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy

The Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy (SLRC) is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation dedicated to preserving and enhancing the historical, aesthetic, ecological and recreational benefits of Silver Lake’s open waters and surrounding open space.

Who We Are

The Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy (SLRC), in existence since 1988, is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, formed in response to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) proposal to cover all smaller open-water reservoirs, including Ivanhoe reservoir, and to build an on-site, industrial-style filtration plant adjacent to the Silver Lake reservoir. SLRC’s ongoing mission as a citizen’s group is to preserve the historical, aesthetic, ecological, and recreational benefits of Silver Lake’s open water reservoirs.

The SLRC Board of Directors is comprised of Silver Lake community volunteers.
