About SLRC - who we are

who we are

The Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy (SLRC), in existence since 1988, is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, formed in response to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power's (LADWP) proposal to cover all smaller open-water reservoirs, including Ivanhoe reservoir, and to build an on-site, industrial-style filtration plant adjacent to the Silver Lake reservoir.

SLRC's ongoing mission as a citizen's group is to preserve the historical, aesthetic, ecological, and recreational benefits of Silver Lake's open water reservoirs.

The SLRC Board of Directors is comprised of Silver Lake community volunteers.
